Ready to add to your guitar collection is a rare vintage Alvarez Dove 5024. This lawsuit era acoustic has been modified and transformed into a steel resonator. The guitar features a spruce top with mahogany back and sides which have been refinished at some point in a dark red burst. Tone wise this guitar is warm and sweet from the combination of these woods with great projection and brightness from the resonator. So many styles of music can be played with this guitar and all will sound fantastic. It has excellent playability, is comfortably worn in, and weighs just under 6 lbs. Cosmetically there are various scratches and wear in the finish and two inlays are replacements. See all photos. Frets have been leveled before but have plenty of life left to them. Overall it’s a really great playing guitar, and incredibly unique. You won’t find too many vintage acoustic guitars converted into resonators, especially vintage lawsuit era ones. Comes to you with a professional shop setup and ready to play.
