This guitar is completely manufactured in the Sixx Gun shop from start to finish from one set of hands, a hand built made in USA tone monster. We like to change things up and give you different options so this particular Joker features a solid walnut body with an enamel and oil finish. Typically we heavily relic our guitars but this one is much lighter and mainly just on the back of the neck to keep that smooth playability that our guitars are known for. Set neck construction, a mahogany neck with maple fretboard, stainless frets and ebony block inlays. Other fine features include top of the line Gotoh Japan 510 wraparound tailpiece which is fully intonatable and Gotoh vintage style tuners and knobs in classy gold. Finally she’s topped off with a Margasa signature pickguard in red pearl. Controls are truly a thing of wonder. Daniel has a collection of new old stock Sprague bumble bee caps. A 0.018 400v was used in this particular guitar and the result is an amazing tone circuit that can literally go from deep dark Gibson neck tone, to sparkling almost tele quality tone and everything in between. Imagine that, a tone circuit that actually makes a difference in how the guitar sounds. This particular guitar features a zebra Margasa Hurricane humbucker. The action and playability of the neck are extremely low and fast and the guitar has excellent sustain and resonation partly due to a solid bone nut, partly due to the light enamel and oil finish. Customers repeatedly tell us how “wooden” and acoustic our guitars sound. You don’t even have to plug them in and you will hear every note resonate surprisingly loud. This is fantastic when practicing.
