The Deluxe Setup Workshop at Sixx Gun Music changes that.

Bring one stringed instrument of your choice and spend four hands-on hours working directly with master luthier Daniel Margasa. You will learn the same logical setup sequence used in a working repair shop while applying it to the instrument you actually play.

This is not a lecture or a quick demonstration. You will be at the bench, making the adjustments with Daniel’s guidance and understanding how each change affects playability, tuning, feel, and response.

What You Will Learn

During the workshop, you will learn how to:

• Evaluate your instrument and identify the source of common playability problems
• Check and adjust neck relief
• Set action for your instrument and playing style
• Set accurate intonation
• Understand how the nut and bridge affect tuning and string height
• Evaluate, polish, and address common fret issues
• Recognize when an issue can be safely maintained at home
• Recognize when a repair requires professional tools or experience
• Follow a clear, repeatable top-to-bottom maintenance process

Registration and Workshop Policies

• One paid registration covers one student and one stringed instrument.
• Full payment is the RSVP and is required to confirm a seat.
• Unpaid forms, invoices, verbal commitments, and stated intentions do not reserve a seat.
• Registrations are final but may be transferred to another person.
• Replacement strings, parts, and repairs beyond the normal workshop setup are not included.
• Any additional parts or repair work must be approved and paid for separately.
• Students may bring their own setup tools, but doing so is optional.
