A USA Strat with two extra pickup combinations, right on the tone knob. Pull it up to add the neck pickup: you can run neck and bridge together or use all three pickups at once. The usual five Strat positions are still there, so you gain options without learning a new control layout.

This 2018 American Performer pairs three Yosemite single-coils with Fender’s Greasebucket circuit. Back the tone down to soften the top end without adding bass—a useful touch when the amp is bright or a lead needs a rounder edge. The Modern C maple neck, 9.5-inch radius and jumbo frets give it a modern Strat feel.
